Aria: Main protagonist. Grew up in Reverie but is exiled after the fire and her mom is missing. Referred to as a Dweller by the outsiders.
Perry: Main protagonist and chapters are told from his perspective as well. He lives in the outside with the Tides and is a skilled hunter.
Roar: Perry's best friend.

Where The Book Left Off:
Aria's mother is killed. Consul Hess has taken Perry's nephew Talon. In exchange for Talon, he wants Aria to find the Still Blue which is rumored to be a place that is free from the deadly Aether storms. Perry kills his brother Vale and becomes the new Blood Lord of the Tides. On the last page Aria and Perry are reunited again.
